Steve McManaman scored two goals at Wembley when Liverpool FC beat Bolton Wanderers 2-1 in the League Cup final on 2 April 1995. John Barnes played his 300th game for LFC that afternoon - it was nice to celebrate it with a trophy!

1 April: Quite a lot of business on the transfer market happened on this day. Some random and average names among these, but Ronald Orr was an England International and scored 39 goals in 112 appearances for Liverpool while Walter Wadsworth won the First Division with LFC twice.

Robbie Fowler and Emile Heskey gave Fabien Barthez some terrible time when Liverpool FC beat Man United 2-0 on 31 March 2001 (despite being reduced to 10 men!). Steven Gerrard scored a beauty, too. On the opposite end, Sander Westerveld played brilliantly.
