That is quite a ridiculous decision.. what is the defender supposed to do, run hands by side which is not a natural position

@scottconnie I’m not convinced they are all that good and certainly not good enough to not attack against.. with the players we have if set up to win I’m confident we would’ve managed more than 1 shot at goal.. zero runners from deep to stretch them set up with men behind ball isn’t for me

@liam_buchanan9 England with all their talent tried to attack Hungary and got hammered 4-0 at Wembley! They aren’t mugs. I do agree in a must win game you should attack but they play proper cantenaccio and can just pick you off with the pace of the wingers and all round quality of szobslai

How Steve Clarke can set up like that and approach a must win game being so negative.. Hungary are no side to fear, not a single shot on target it’s embarrassing!! Not to have 2 up, no runners behind just utter rubbish!!!! Negative negative way of playing

@Kdog2701 So many managers happy to just not get beat these days, playing boring sideway passes with men behind the ball but look utter dire with no threat!!! I think he might have to go done great getting there but recently has been poor approach

Whatever shankland doesn’t do is irrelevant now, what he does do is hardest thing in football and that’s score goals.. need get him on the pitch
