@jackrichrdson @SensCentral At the same time, 18/19 + a true finisher could be one of the NHL’s best offensive lines, IMO. Drake probably gets $9M+ on the open market next summer. If you let him walk, the top six suddenly looks *very* thin unless you move him now and already have the replacement lined up

I think Batherson’s comparable has to be Pinto, not Stützle or Tkachuk. Is Batherson more valuable to the Sens than Pinto? Feel like somewhere around $7.5M - $8M is the sweet spot on a long term deal.

It’s that you can always find people willing to amplify negativity about someone with a questionable track record. Repeating that invective serves no real purpose. There were far more constructive ways to frame that question.

@ShutdownLine Well, that never happened against the Sens, a far more potent offense. You were lucky to sweep R1 (xG was 17-15 in CAR’s favour), but you’ll likely sweep R2 too. And frankly, if that happens, I don’t see how you don’t win the conference with that much rest. I’m rooting for you!
