Hangman/Swerve V only happens for the AEW World Championship. They do not touch each other before that. Hangman becomes champ soon, has a decently long reign. In the meantime, Swerve comes back, builds himself up and dethrones Hangman. Both men become 2-time champs in process.

@Maffewgregg Saw a great summary of the feud on Reddit the other day that noted how, for a year, Swerve didn't realise he was in a proper vendetta, how it was just a business-furthering rivalry for him, and how he severely underestimated how mentally unstable Page has been since day 1 of AEW

@philaurdelphia what did you make of the suggestions/reports that they were being coached to swing for the fences despite them being better off leaving that to others and just looking to score hits? reckon that's been a part of it? hard to blame them if so
