I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe. Cotton Eye Joe reaching #25 on the billboard hot 100. Tears in rain, etc.

The goal to "move away from the dominance of small-dollar donors" is a key to the whole agenda. The goal is to have the Democratic cease to be a political party in any meaningful way & instead become an ad agency controlled by billionaires. Instead of the normal party that creates a consensus from internal democratic contestation, you'll have big brain consultants come up with slogans to please Ketamine/Adderall addicted Crypto plutocrats. If this comes to pass, the Democratic Party will die, deservedly.
Adam Wren@adamwren

New @playbookdc: Last month, a group of moderate Democratic consultants, campaign staffers, elected officials & party leaders gathered in Loudoun County, Virginia, for a retreat where they plotted their party’s comeback. We got their takeaways.

Medicare for All would save us money but Democrats won't support it because they would rather take massive checks from the health insurance industry.

“In the 1990s, spending by top-decile earners usually constituted a third or so of annual consumer spending overall. Now, their spending constitutes the largest share of the consumer economy in data going back to 1989.”
Amanda Mull@amandamull

I found this week’s news that the richest 10% of Americans now do fully half of the country’s consumer spending really, really worrisome. So I called up the Moody’s economist who made the finding. Turns out, he does too: (gift link) bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

dude trust me it’s a general strike. It’s for real this time. I saw it on an infographic. but it’s not a “strike” in the sense of “not working.” You can strike by shopping at small businesses. You can strike by feeling joy.

A lot of centrist beliefs now seem to rest on the idea that Obama’s success was due to him winning the center/being seen as moderate and it’s really incredible how fake it all is. No Democrat in the 21st century has seen as much concern about their radical connections as Obama’08

“I’m about to engage in an extreme act of protest. But compared to what people have been experiencing in Palestine at the hands of their colonizers, it’s not extreme at all. This is what our ruling class has decided will be normal.” Aaron Bushnell, 2/25/24 🖤❤️

@janecoaston Absolutely. It’s time for them to practice some self love. We need to respect their boundaries. They just can’t hold space for us right now and that’s okay.

🚨🚨🚨 Yesterday, the NLRB’s Buffalo office (Region 3) received word from its landlord that GSA—acting on behalf of DOGE—had unilaterally cancelled the Region’s five-year lease, without any prior notice to the Agency. The Region has been given 90 days to vacate the building.

@Caol_MacCormaic Absolutely. We’re shown images of the Pennsylvania building that she says are supposed to inspire feelings of free will and individuality, but the images, to me at least, don’t convey that at all. The model is beautiful, but the building itself is oppressive, corrupted.
