Judy Heumann dedicated her life to the fight for civil rights—starting as a young organizer at Camp Jened and later helping lead the disability rights movement. Michelle and I were fortunate to work with Judy over the years, and are thinking of her family and friends.

As we mourn the loss of Judy Heumann, we celebrate her legacy. As we navigate sadness, we look toward joy as the disability community carries the torch. As we experience grief in our own ways, we are on this journey together. Join us in remembering Judy: npr.org/2023/03/04/116…
