@JReynoldsMLIS Memories of actually finding something worth referring to do keep me checking
English

@JReynoldsMLIS I wonder how much of this is a journal problem. Perhaps speaks to the need of authors to register any supplementary materials elsewhere if possible.

#medlibs - on browser (not the app) go to More > Settings and Privacy > Privacy and Safety > Grok > uncheck the box. Turns off A.I. training on your posts.

@MCarlyW @hipporebecca a good reminder that a PROSPERO registration doesn’t entail a methodological peer review for a protocol, more of a confirmation that the asked for data items are included in the protocol.
English

@hipporebecca I'm just confused how it was registered on Prospero as a systematic review....

@Llipke3 @carrieprice78 @AmandaRossWhite time to elbow someone with the ICMJE’s author and contributor qualifications page icmje.org/recommendation…

@springshare @danielsgriffin @catladylib unfortunately to my understanding robots.txt is a pure honor system, and other AI models such as Perplexity have been caught out sneaking around it using undocumented IP addresses. The only method I’ve seen online sources use is to ban IP address behaving in a suspicious manner
English

@danielsgriffin @catladylib Thank you all so much for communicating this with us, we're actively chatting with our dev team to see how we can make this happen. One thing, a lot of LibGuides users license an AI for institutional use - so we need to see how we can fine-tune our controls to allow / not allow.

"The search terms included variations of "medical students," "obesity," "overweight," and "BMI." -38915047 This is not adequate. Did you use controlled vocab? What variations? When and how did you use Boolean operators? #searchcrtique #systematicreview #medlibs

What (free) tools/software do you all use when creating process diagrams or flow charts? #MedLibs #CanMedLibs #Librarian #AcademicChatter

@PhDtoProfMentor This is a free resource online, and can be applied to any SR of health interventions, not just Cochrane SRs. training.cochrane.org/handbook/curre…
English

@PhDtoProfMentor If you only made one addendum, I would add to consult any available guidelines for conducting and reporting guidance as Step 1. ex. for many SRs in health sciences, researchers should read and comprehend the Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions.
