Is capitalism just an economic system or a moral vision for how we should live? In the latest episode of the Liberty Ventures Podcast, CEO Alexander McCobin sits down with educator and intellectual entrepreneur Marsha Familaro Enright to explore the philosophical case for a free society, and why it matters more than ever. From Locke and Montesquieu to Adam Smith and Ayn Rand, they discuss the ideas that shaped modern capitalism, why business leaders need a moral defense of freedom, and how the next generation can become truly “AI-proof” through creativity, reasoning, and human connection. If you care about freedom, leadership, education, and the future of capitalism, this is a conversation worth hearing. 🎧 Listen now and join the conversation: What most shaped your understanding of freedom and capitalism? youtube.com/watch?v=Rp596d…

Last week in Austin, 6 standout founders took the stage at the Principled Business Pitch Competition at SXSW, and they delivered. After an incredibly competitive round of pitches, congratulations to Sarah Tamilarasan of SOTOAG for taking home the top prize. Huge recognition as well to every founder who stepped on stage and showed what principled entrepreneurship looks like in action. This year’s cohort brought bold ideas across hospitality, AI, industrial intelligence, advanced materials, and more, all grounded in solving real problems and building with integrity. Next up: FreedomFest in Las Vegas, July 8–11, 2026. Applications for the next Principled Business Pitch Competition are now open. If you’re building something meaningful, or know a founder who is, apply here: share.hsforms.com/1_4aIxb5yS0-9_…

In 2026, as the United States marks its 250th anniversary, we’re bringing a curated Principled Business delegation to the ARC Conference in London, where 4,000 leaders in business, policy, culture, and civil society gather to reimagine the future of our institutions. This delegation goes beyond attending panels. Delegates will join a private, high-trust environment with investors, founders, CEOs, operators, and narrative-shapers for curated introductions, private breakfasts, closed-door dinners, and a strategy session focused on turning ideas into concrete leadership and governance moves. If you’re serious about guiding capitalism so it remains a force for human flourishing, innovation, and freedom, this is where you need to be. Attendance is intentionally limited to preserve depth of dialogue and quality of relationships. 👉 Apply to join the Principled Business Delegation to ARC 2026: share.hsforms.com/1jCtf2JUbSL23_…

Planning is underway for the next Principled Business Summit and we’re looking for the right partners to help shape the conversation. 2026 marks 250 years of America and 250 years since Adam Smith’s "The Wealth of Nations". This year’s summit in downtown Austin will convene 1,000 investors, executives, and founders to reflect on the legacy of capitalism and chart what the next 250 years of business, innovation, and human flourishing could look like. Last year, we exceeded expectations with a highly curated, outcomes-focused experience and this year, we’re building on that momentum. If your organization believes in principled capitalism and wants to be in the room with a global network of values-driven leaders, we’d love to connect. 👉 Apply to become a sponsor: share.hsforms.com/1udQnRMLYQH6Vs…

What do potatoes, a tongue cleaner, and a unicorn selling bathroom products have in common? They’re all part of how the Harmon Brothers turned “weird” ideas into breakout brands like Orabrush and Squatty Potty. In her latest feature for Capitalists for Capitalism, our Chief of Staff Michelle Bernier breaks down the real playbook behind those wins: sales-first discipline, creative that actually converts, aggressive testing before scale, and staying close enough to customers to earn (not beg for) their attention. At the center of it all is one question for founders and operators: Are you truly earning attention, or just competing for it? “What about the deaths caused by capitalism?” In our upcoming issue of Capitalists for Capitalism, Magatte Wade (@magattew)  takes this challenge head-on, arguing that greed, cruelty, and exploitation didn’t begin with capitalism at all. Long before Adam Smith, empires, monarchies, slavery, conquest, and state violence were already doing humanity’s worst damage. Her provocative claim: the real question isn’t whether bad people exist, but whether a system concentrates their power or limits it. She explores how the term “capitalism” was coined by its enemies, why the founders of liberal societies focused instead on natural rights, and how voluntary exchange in free enterprise fundamentally differs from coercive socialism. Get Magatte’s full essay in the upcoming edition of Capitalists for Capitalism magazine: libertyventuresnetwork.com/magazine Interested in writing for a future issue? Big news for the 3rd Annual Principled Business Summit, October 28–30, 2026, this year in Austin, Texas. We’re thrilled to announce our first keynote, @iamjohnmackey, co-founder of Whole Foods Market and CEO of Love.Life. For decades, John has been one of the most influential voices in modern capitalism, reframing how leaders think about purpose, entrepreneurship, and building businesses that truly serve people and communities. This year is especially meaningful as 2026 marks 250 years of both the Declaration of Independence and Adam Smith’s The Wealth of Nations - a milestone moment to reflect on what capitalism has achieved, confront its challenges, and explore how principled leaders can shape the next century of freedom, prosperity, and human flourishing. Join us in Austin and be part of the conversation. Secure your ticket today: principledbusiness.org/summit
