So, I went hiking in Kenya 🇰🇪 - Mount Longonot. Trailed the entire crater. One of the most satisfying life experiences. Pictures don't do it justice, but it's stunning up there!

UK is a leveler. Those your classism end the moment you step into this country. Because everyone is somebody and nobody is nobody.

@liddycomidee @K3NDINI @TosinOlugbenga This is not true, I watched a documentary on this on YouTube, you can be the wealthiest of people but the way you make your money is more important than how much you have and whether you’re of noble blood is highly considered.

@Emarged Used to have a friend that lived there when I was a kid. It was a night and day difference stepping into IITA,the moment you went passed the gates. The place would have gone down hill if it wasn't heavily gate-kept, and yes - it was for foreigners.

Exactly! Even working class brits that are wealthy struggle to break into posh/ upper class. And yes, with sports, thats another one. I often refrain from discussing my passion for footy in certain rooms. It's also very telling the type of sports they posh in working class schools.

@liddycomidee @miss_joxy @TosinOlugbenga lowkey you barely see a working class brit mixing with a posh brit even in universities sef. everyone knows their class and keep association to others outside their class to a minimum. even favourite sport differs. Posh people like rugby, tennis and golf while others like soccer

@miss_joxy @dangelinhooo @TosinOlugbenga Literally everything. The holiday destination you choose to go, the nitty gritty of the home decor. They really go to town with their Classism.😆

@TosinOlugbenga 😂 Do you think classism doesn't exist in the UK? It's just a different type of sport over here, with varied metrics.

@K3NDINI @TosinOlugbenga I am afraid it isn't. A Nigerian immigrant is often oblivious to it because their chase for basic necessities they have been starved off back home is what they used to measure class.

I have worked with atleast 2 South African Fintechs and I've worked with mostly white South Africans. I've rarely seen black South Africans in these companies. It used to be strange to me because the whites are the "minority" in SA. So what are the odds that 2 different experiences with SA firms, have been with majorly white employees?

My Opinion about South Africans as someone that has lived among them. A good number of black South Africans are lazy, entitled and always looking for someone to blame for their problems. A lot got them don’t study past matric (secondary school level) and it’s why their universities are filled with foreign nationals, education is not their strongest forte yet at the end of the day the same set of people blame foreign nationals for taking their jobs. Jobs most never qualified for in the first place. Let’s talk about skill learning, a good number of them don’t learn skills hence (lazy) yet they blame Nigerian and Ghanaian nationals for dominating trades such as Barbing, hair making, cobbling etc (trades they don’t want to learn) They barely open and maintain stores and when they see other foreign nationals doing so, the claim they are illegal and should close down even tho the are not well equipped/ready to fill that spot. It’s easier for them to point fingers as to why they are not successful than actually work hard to be. It’s where you’ll see a school drop out saying a qualified Nigerian medical doctor caring for their people took his “job” and that’s why he’s jobless. Most of the jobs they claim foreigners take, they are either not qualified for it or too lazy to actually do it. *note, a good number not all.
Typical African@Joe__Bassey

South Africans should desist from this behavior of looting. It’s disgusting; this is someone’s investment.
