1) Using a state-of-the art #AI committee (=multiple reasoning #AI engines investigating the same problem) we have two new #MECFS and #LongCOVID research targets being confirmed : a) Phosphoinositide-controlled membrane identity b) The role of RAB Proteins and prenylation.

Here is another question : Do patients of #MECFS and #LongCovid tend to have significantly more cases of Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH) or not ?

@lifeanalytics Isn’t our circulation compromised? Do you attribute the fingernail growth to the disease state or to our interventions?

I may have found yet another piece of my health puzzle. I realized it after seeing how frequently now my fingernails need clipping : Every 4 days ! It's never been so frequent and I am wondering whether anyone noticed that since getting #MECFS, nails tend to grow much slower (?)

@The2Margarets Same here ! Only the fingernails ! I think the reason for this is something called disulfide bonds and/or better blood circulation.

@lifeanalytics Definitely noticed. But only my fingernails grow faster. I don’t believe there’s a change in toenail growth and I find this discrepancy curious.

@exist_bread I post about research-only topics so I appear to have issues with glutathione production. It seems that whatever is needed for making glutathione, I have problem with (Glycine+Glutamate+Cysteine). So I have to rely in taking its cofactors (Vit. C,Selenium).

@lifeanalytics How much sulforaphane do you take? It's come up in my various LLM queries in relation to Nrf2 and EAAT-2, but so far I've only taken relatively low dosages. What's the cofactor stack you mentioned?

1/ Amazed -once again- how #AI LLMs can find important details that we could miss. I use a project with relevant findings from #MECFS research and submitted my medical history. Notice how it identified a reference on why sulforaphane may be helping me :

@lifeanalytics What was the cause of the symptom related to quality of sleep? And I hadn't been able to eat vegetables containing sulforaphane for many years but I am able to eat them again. Not sure why, but I am happy to have things moving in the right direction. Thank you for all your info.

4/ #AI has recently helped me to identify the cause for one of the two remaining symptoms I have which is related to the quality of my sleep. I am sure there are patients out there who have used #AI and they weren't impressed and there are many reasons for this.

3/ ..the dysregulations we are finding can have. Which biological pathways are responsible ? Which findings are downstream consequences and which are "true" signals ? Which are the causal pieces of the bigger puzzle?

@VioletaQSmith I do not have any PEM. I can play tennis for 1.5 hours without any consequences. I have a normal life as long as I make personalized dietary and supplement interventions

@lifeanalytics Are you able to do more before you experience PEM and other symptoms? And are the symptoms and PEM less severe than they used to be?

1/ I can play tennis, having eaten anything for the past 12 hours without getting PEM afterwards. Just to be clear : if I do not follow a specific number of interventions, PEM and other symptoms come back gradually. During a chat with @ImmunoFever I was reminded....

@lifeanalytics I have been making an app that searches genetics file for gene variants related to PLA2 activation and cholesterol, I am wondering if you have a genetics file and would be willing to try it and give your opinion?

I feel disheartened about the state of research in #MECFS. I see very few research efforts at the moment trying systematically to understand the bigger picture. Looking at individual pieces of the puzzle isn't enough. We have to connect them.

@lifeanalytics I believe you are right. Let's do this. Let's name the dots. I know you have already named quite a few. Who can we get to help check validity of hypothesis and reasoning. I know you have been trying to pull researchers in that direction for some time.

@cfs_research @liamsLCjourney I see in the post I linked replication of low phospholipids in Naviaux et.al 2016, Hoel et al 2021 and Che & Lipkin et al 2022. I did not mention anything about Triglycerides. I do not know if I can put the snapshot of the post here, but others can confirm

@lifeanalytics @liamsLCjourney HPA axis (cortisol awakening response specifically), and HRV. What aspect of phospholipid dysregulation has been replicated? I'm not seeing any reviews on that.

@cfs_research @liamsLCjourney Regarding the metabolism I would say that phospholipid dysregulation has been replicated. Which replicated findings are you referring at regarding the nervous system?

@lifeanalytics @liamsLCjourney The reason it seems to be a functional brain disorder is because there is no replicated evidence of "immune, metabolic and functional disturbances" whereas there is replicated evidence of nervous system dysregulation. I think you may be confusing one-off unreplicated studies
