I started trading in August 2024, but I really started trading 2-3 weeks ago When I look at this monthly calendar, I see a BE trader that's following the process but learning about himself every single trading day What I'm trying to say, is that since I started trading (up until a few weeks ago), my "trading" was simply overleveraging, oversizing, gambling, and trauma This is genuinely the first time in my trading career where I'm following a process every single day regardless of the outcome and not blowing up A few months ago, a week like this one would've sent me into generational debt, buying and blowing accounts over and over again I've been loving posting my monthly calendar every day, so you guys can see the progress and the process in real time I feel like nobody keeps it 100 like this in the trading space, so I'm more than happy to assume that role This is what the real process looks like:

I almost gave up on Initial Balance (IB) trading. The standard rules you read in every trading PDF or YouTube video? They are completely unprofitable in these markets. I backtested the "classic" IB breakout in March, and the raw data was a disaster. Here is the reality of what happens on the charts: 📉 The Breakout Trap: When a standard IB expansion actually plays out, it usually happens in a violent, rapid move right after 10:30. It leaves absolutely zero room for a safe entry. You’re left either chasing the market or watching from the sidelines. 🔄 The Churn: On the days the market doesn't break out, retail traders get chopped to pieces trying to force a trend that isn't there. I realized the edge wasn't in waiting for the range to form and chasing the boundary. The real edge was the exact opposite. I flipped the script and started looking for entries earlier - before the full 10:00–10:30 IB range was even locked in - using the unformed range to target the eventual fully formed IB High or Low. To execute this without guessing, I needed strict, objective filters to prove price was actually delivering to those targets. I spent weeks stacking precise confluences: Live IB Range Projections (Tracking the boundaries before they close) VWAP (Anchored to NY Open) Volume Profile Levels (Value Area High/Low and Point of Control) SMT Divergence (To catch cracks in market correlation early) Suddenly, the noise cleared. I stopped chasing fast moves and started positioning myself before the crowd even knew where the day's boundaries were going to be. 6 payouts later trading this manually and running it via custom automated strategies, I knew the framework was solid. one of the biggest shifts in my trading came when i stopped feeling the need to catch moves early social media makes traders feel like speed = skill in reality patience is what separates good trades from impulsive ones the market will always offer another opportunity forcing one because you’re scared to miss out is where most damage gets done wait for your trade trust

@brianisupercool Do you mind sharing his X? I can’t seem to find it. I practice lots of styles. I used to teach breathwork and yoga..help people relax and get comfortable in their own skin. Now I’m teaching myself futures and find the skills from before really supportive.
