Regardless of the reliability issues, @claudeai is the single most valuable subscription I’ve had so far. ❤️

Internet is fine and dandy. But not my Claude desktop app

Excited to dive into this library by @joshpuckett after some time off.
A few years ago, I took @bonniekatewolf’s icon design course and ended up designing a ton of new icons and the icon language for Kindle.
Time to have fun with Josh’s craft lessons!

@divya_venn It's worth figuring out what "working" looks like for you. Also, this kind of doubt is normal - I've been there, still comes back sometimes. The dots will connect later. :)
English

@divya_venn It sounds like you're being hard on yourself for not arriving somewhere you haven't actually defined yet. And likely in a timeframe that's a little too short for a very high goal.

some questions i am now pondering as I overthink my hasty decision to move to SF a few months ago:
- what role do other people play on the pathway to excellence?
- self-study + locking in + doing the reps, often for an unreasonable and intimidating amount of time, seems to be a part of most very talented people's arc.
- however u also need 1) exposure to excellent work in ur domain 2) immediate and frequent feedback from reality/ markets/ people who know more than you
- also it's very easy to be seduced by the idea that simply being in the right crowd will make u great. this is a value but very strong idea that makes people flock to sf in restless hopeful droves. that fomo is undeniably the expedient for a lot of snake oil peddlers

@divya_venn Most excellence is just caring consistently over a long road. Are you evaluating it based on two months?
English

@divya_venn The real question here seems to be - what would it look like for you if the move to SF was working?
K's take is partly true. The color I'd add - working alongside great people does give you a leg up. This is how humans (esp children) learn. It's a good model for adults too.

Beautifully put! Well worth a read!

I’d whole heartedly never recommend getting a @CapitalOne card to anyone if they can’t get a simple confirmation code in their communications correct
English

@CapitalOne You guys need to get your emails correctly sorted out for travel reservations.
Sent me a wrong confirmation code that cost me a visa rejection. Literally your email and the code in the app is different. Are you going to now reimburse me for the damages?
