🚨💣 Toni Kroos BLASTS Kylian Mbappé for complaining to the press over Arbeloa’s decision to drop him:
“Look, I saw Kylian’s interviews yesterday after the game against Oviedo. I watched the whole thing and, honestly, I was a bit surprised. Complaining publicly because Arbeloa decided to leave him on the bench? That’s not the way we do things at Real Madrid.
You don’t go out in front of the microphones and say the coach told you you’re the ‘fourth-choice forward’ behind Mastantuono, Vinícius and Gonzalo — especially when the coach himself immediately comes out and says he never said anything like that.
That part wasn’t right at all. Whether it was a misunderstanding or miscommunication, those things you fix inside the dressing room, man to man, not by airing it out to the press. That just creates unnecessary noise around the team.
I’ve worn this white shirt for ten years. I know exactly what this club demands. The coach picks the eleven. He makes the decisions based on what he sees in training, on tactics, on the opponent.
Your job as a player is to accept it, train even harder the next day, and show on the pitch why you deserve to start.
That’s how it’s always been here. You don’t put pressure on the coach through the media. That shows a lack of respect — not just to Arbeloa, but to the whole group.
Real Madrid is a family. We’ve had players with huge egos before, but the ones who lasted and succeeded were the ones who understood that the badge comes first. Talent alone is never enough. Kylian is an incredible footballer, world-class speed, finishing, everything. Nobody doubts that. But at this club you prove yourself with actions, consistency and the right attitude, not with statements to the journalists.
We all want him to succeed here — the fans, the team, everyone. But this kind of thing doesn’t help anyone. Sort it internally, come back stronger, and let your performances do the talking. That’s the Real Madrid way. Simple as that.”
