At some point this kind of messaging about Russia but not Israel becomes its own unique, horrific kind of gaslighting. Look at how you speak about those you consider people. Look how you refuse to speak about Palestinians. It is deeply shameful, and unforgivably racist. Stop it.

Australia condemns Russia’s horrific attack on the Ukrainian city of Sumy, killing and injuring civilians including children. This gross violation of international law was carried out as many Ukrainians gathered for Palm Sunday - one of the holiest days of the year for those of the Christian faith. We stand unwavering in our support for Ukraine and for a just and lasting peace.

These proposed laws are f***** on so many levels, but here's just one. No more: • assembly at State Library, Flinders St Station or Fed Square • assembly outside Parliament (borderline) • marches down Swanston St or Bourke St Shallow attempt to ban freedom of assembly.

In the years I’ve been making Stuff The British Stole, the biggest lesson for me has been how much history hides behind politeness—polite plaques, polite speeches, polite monarchs. I don’t have Lidia Thorpe's life experience, and it’s not appropriate for me to offer commentary on her actions. But let’s be clear on one thing: the British Empire was not a polite enterprise. Like most, it was built on conquest, power, and, yes, things were truly stolen. Many things that have not been returned or in some cases even acknowledged. It was not a polite empire.

So the concept art Dutton stole wasn't even of a small modular reactor, but of a factory that *makes* SMR's. A factory that's now been cancelled. The incompetence is almost impressive.
