IS @OPSEU INSTITUTIONALLY ANTISEMITIC?
You be the judge.
OPSEU hired campaign officer Rawan Qaddoura despite a publicly documented social-media history that included:
“Every time I read about Hitler, I fall in love all over again.”
“I honestly wish I was born at the time of the Second World War just to see the genius, Hitler, at work.”
“I just don’t like Jews.”
“The whole world is controlled by Zionist Jews.”
These posts were documented by @canarymission and publicly reported by @bnaibrithcanada years before OPSEU hired her.
When they resurfaced, OPSEU reviewed the matter, characterized the posts as youthful misconduct—and kept her employed.
Now compare my treatment.
I was a professor with a 15-year career. I condemned Hamas and compared it to the Nazis—a comparison grounded in Hamas’s ideological ancestry through the Muslim Brotherhood and its historical connections to Nazi Germany.
For that, OPSEU representatives accused me of committing a “hate crime.”
OPSEU then refused, in writing, to represent me, abandoned my grievance and left me defenceless while Humber College and the University of Guelph destroyed my career.
Now @OPSEU, under President @JPHornick, is fighting me at the Ontario Labour Relations Board alongside Humber College, @uofg and @UofGHstudents . Roughly eight lawyers are involved, and hundreds of thousands of dollars may be spent fighting one dismissed professor whose supposed offence was condemning Hamas.
Consider the contrast:
Praise Hitler and declare that you dislike Jews: forgiveness, continued employment and institutional protection.
Condemn Hamas and compare it to Nazis: accused of a hate crime, denied union representation, terminated and subjected to years of litigation.
Meanwhile, OPSEU has embraced BDS under @JPHornick, while Jewish OPSEU members have brought human-rights complaints alleging antisemitism within the union.
This is not merely hypocrisy.
It is a complete moral inversion.
OPSEU’s conduct tells us that praising Hitler can be forgiven—but condemning Hamas may cost you your career.
Is OPSEU institutionally antisemitic?
Look at whom it protects.
Look at whom it punishes.
Then decide.
