if being a trad wife is so awesome and natural then why did it crater within two generations because every woman encouraged her daughters and granddaughters to choose a better life than she did.

A family built on the abuse and subjugation of women must burn. If society can only thrive when women are stripped of their humanity, that society must also burn. In fact, it must cease t exist altogether. Hope that helps.
Chamunofara@Chamunofara

@shoko_tin @drDendere Feminism has destroyed the family unit, which is ultimately destroying society at large.

@nienna121 yup. sleepovers might actually be the *safest* setting for kids to get their first taste of autonomy and unstructured/unsupervised time with friends

Mildly unpopular opinion but I am pro-sleepover (with discernment), I am tired of unchecked safetyism ruling every facet of children’s lives

@CivicNatalist @CuriousBunnie12 we’re talking about freedom from your husband girl. having your own job and your own money gives you freedom from your husband

@CuriousBunnie12 @lilithirl nah, your husband can always make more money. and whether you have freedom and "independence" is really up to you, not some job lmao

jeffrey goldberg refusing to dump all the text messages in the houthi signal chat is exactly why the natsec advisor had his personal phone number. it is precisely the problem w/ fake "journalists" at legacy publishers. they're stenographers for the state dept.

@REDLOVEJOY @lilithirl @how2decay That implies that any relationship with a libido gap is inherently coercive, and given the stats on lesbian dead bedrooms i don't think that's the argument you want to be making.

@REDLOVEJOY @how2decay eh, gotta disagree. sexual coercion is about holding power, not satisfying a natural urge. it’s not intrinsic to heterosexual relationships

@lilithirl @how2decay i don't get why everyone's so against discussing the basic logical deduction that men generally want to have sex more than women do so there is necessarily a coercive element to most heterosexual relationships wherein they have more sex than they would, or the relationship ends

@ephemerealities @how2decay things are different today (marital rape is mostly illegal and women have a wider range of ways to make money) but her analysis is still sooo important for understanding sexual norms/archetypes and backlash against women’s sexual liberation

@ephemerealities @how2decay 100%, she never said women can’t want or enjoy sex, just that women in her time had no recourse against violent sex and no leverage to make sex more enjoyable. tolerating sex on men’s terms was part of women’s economic role and literally written into the letter of the law
