19 June 1908 | German Jew, Hans Heumann, was born in Barmen-Elberfeld. He emigrated to the Netherlands. In August 1944 he was deported from #Westerbork to #Auschwitz. He did not survive.

18 June 1927 | Belgian Jewish girl, Rosa Zybenberg, was born in Antwerp. She was deported to #Auschwitz from Kazerne Dossin in Mechelen on 1 September 1942. She did not survive.

19 June 1899 | A German Jewish woman, Rosa Neumann, was born in Boedingheim. She emigrated to France. In September 1942 she was deported from Drancy to #Auschwitz. She did not survive.

17 June 1915 | A Polish woman, Halina Pietrzak, was born in Częstochowa. In #Auschwitz from 22 January 1943. Nr 30609 In 1944 she was transferred to Flossenbürg camp and liberated there.

The Bernstein's were a German Jewish family. In June 1939, 16-year-old Susanne Bernstein was sent to safety in England on a #Kindertransport, joining her brother, Heinz. Her parents, Richerd and Grisela, were both murdered in Auschwitz.

16 June 1911 | A Pole, Stanisław Bełżyński, was born. During the occupation the commander of AK Kedyw region in Nisko-Stalowa Wola. Deported to #Auschwitz on 14 June 1940 from Tarnów in the first transport of Poles. No. 581 Released in 1941. He perished on 18 May 1944

17 June 1933 | An Italian Jewish girl, Emma Terracina, was born in Rome. She was deported to #Auschwitz from Rome on 18 October 1943 and murdered in a gas chamber after selection on 23 October.

18 June 1931 | A Czech Jewish girl, Mariana Kornová, was born in Moravska Ostrava. She was deported to #Auschwitz from #Theresienstadt Ghetto on 6 October 1944. She did not survive.

18 June 1904 | A Czech Jewish woman, Gerta Fischlová, was born in Prague. She was deported to #Auschwitz from #Theresienstadt Ghetto on 18 December 1943. She did not survive.

17 June 2008 | Polish Jew, Henryk Mandelbaum, passed away at the age of 86. He was born in Olkusz in May 1922 In #Auschwitz from 22 April 1944. No. 181970 He escaped during the evacuation. 17 June 1922 | A Polish man, Stefan Strycharski, was born in Łowicz. A typesetter. In #Auschwitz from 16 July 1942. No. 47049 He perished in the camp on 12 January 1943.

18 June 1900 | A Czech, Alois Hyrš, was born in Olesna. A farm worker. In #Auschwitz from 17 June 1942. No 39735 He perished in the camp on 9 July 1942.

18 June 1936 | German Jewish girl, Ursula Gerson, was born in Munich. She emigrated to the Netherlands in June 1939. She arrived at #Auschwitz on 5 September 1944 in a transport of 1,019 Jews deported from #Westerbork. She was murdered in a gas chamber after arrival selection.

16 June 1898 | A Czech Jew, Karel Wiener, was born in Prague. He was deported to #Auschwitz from #Theresienstadt Ghetto on 28 September 1944. He did not survive.

16 June 1885 | Dutch Jewish woman, Judith van Kamerik-Cohen Bromet, was born in Amsterdam. She was deported to #Auschwitz in January 1943 and murdered in a gas chamber after selection.

On this day in 1942, two Polish Jewish brothers aged 12 and abt 9 years arrived at Auschwitz and were murdered in the gas chambers. Their names were Szymek and Zigus Zelmanowicz. Please follow @AuschwitzMuseum
