Yikes. I feel like this is true for all LLMs too… so many people copy pasting confidential data in there.

@erik_sarissky @ahrefs Thanks for this article. We've been wondering why Google translate domains keep popping up with sites under our platform, those sites don't even have Google translate on them. This must be why. But it's like you say, they create a copy of the site which includes copyrighted code

Google has already “localized” your site without asking. At @ahrefs , we’ve seen this first-hand with Indonesian content. Auto-translated copies on translate.google.com are currently outranking the originals and stealing clicks around the world.

Announcing The Stargate Project The Stargate Project is a new company which intends to invest $500 billion over the next four years building new AI infrastructure for OpenAI in the United States. We will begin deploying $100 billion immediately. This infrastructure will secure American leadership in AI, create hundreds of thousands of American jobs, and generate massive economic benefit for the entire world. This project will not only support the re-industrialization of the United States but also provide a strategic capability to protect the national security of America and its allies. The initial equity funders in Stargate are SoftBank, OpenAI, Oracle, and MGX. SoftBank and OpenAI are the lead partners for Stargate, with SoftBank having financial responsibility and OpenAI having operational responsibility. Masayoshi Son will be the chairman. Arm, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Oracle, and OpenAI are the key initial technology partners. The buildout is currently underway, starting in Texas, and we are evaluating potential sites across the country for more campuses as we finalize definitive agreements. As part of Stargate, Oracle, NVIDIA, and OpenAI will closely collaborate to build and operate this computing system. This builds on a deep collaboration between OpenAI and NVIDIA going back to 2016 and a newer partnership between OpenAI and Oracle. This also builds on the existing OpenAI partnership with Microsoft. OpenAI will continue to increase its consumption of Azure as OpenAI continues its work with Microsoft with this additional compute to train leading models and deliver great products and services. All of us look forward to continuing to build and develop AI—and in particular AGI—for the benefit of all of humanity. We believe that this new step is critical on the path, and will enable creative people to figure out how to use AI to elevate humanity.

@sama Seeing great improvements already with the new model! And great there's a heavy user plan, something needs to pay for the billions in server costs, so you can keep the lower tier, paid plans at such a low cost, while continuing to deliver more!

@AnthonyHigman @lilyraynyc I think this is usually when you use broad match types for keywords it suits this loose matching. If you use phrase match or exact match it helps or stops this happening. But Google push hard on using broad match, and it delivers so much junk ...

Here is the thing. This isnt even people bidding on other peoples brand names at this point. Google is intentionally matching up EVERY AND ALL BRANDS in the entire world with AI and then matching them to regular keywords. So in this case Because this brand is also just a word I believe this is what is happening. I have probably over a 1,000 posts about this on my twitter and this been ongoing for about 2 years but is recently reaching new heights. Not only that, we are legit all over getting complaints from Google ads clients that they are continuously getting calls to their business for the wrong brands. So it is now reaching a boiling point and its REALLY not cool.

@beyondthepaid This isn't just a pmax issue these days. We find even with search campaigns there is an incredible amount of keywords with suburbs/cities outside the locations set in the campaign. For tightly managed campaign, it was 30% of the budget.

We launched a Pmax campaign for a client this week as a test. It's geotargeted to basically one metro in the US. Got SPAMMED by irrelevant traffic from foreign countries. How TF does this happen? This is why people hate Pmax #ppcchat
