Even without crime, dirt and disorder plays a role. So do the types of people that congregate there and how they are using the spaces (see footage of Muslims doing mass prayers and blasting Arabic through a speaker in European parks). You need spaces that people actually want to use, even if they’re not at risk of getting pickpocketed or whatever. And liberals will never acknowledge this.
