The Kentucky Derby is decided in minutes. But it’s built over years. Same with championship teams. What you do daily, when it’s repetitive, unnoticed, and hard is what separates you later. There’s no shortcut to that. #ChampionshipTeams #KYDerby

Mental Health Awareness Month is a good reminder: performance and well-being aren’t opposites. The best teams I’ve been around push hard—but they also take care of each other. Check in with your people. Create space when it’s needed. And how you lead matters. #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth

A Mayo Clinic-developed artificial intelligence (AI) model can help specialists detect pancreatic cancer on routine abdominal CT scans up to three years before clinical diagnosis. It identifies subtle signs of disease before tumors are visible, when curative treatment may still be possible. The findings, published in Gut, mark a milestone in Mayo Clinic's multiyear research effort to enable earlier detection of one of the deadliest cancers. Learn more: mayocl.in/4eippBP

Interesting read. More companies are turning to temporary hires instead of committing to direct hires. Not because the work isn’t there—because the certainty isn’t. Smart operators don’t wait for perfect conditions. They build flexibility and keep moving. finance.yahoo.com/economy/articl…

Today on 4/24… a little fun inspiration. I grew up watching @BrettFavre sling it with fearless confidence wearing #4, and like a lot of people, I’ve always respected how @kobebryant attacked the game #24. Two different styles, same idea. Show up. Compete. Keep going. Not everything has to be perfect. Sometimes it’s just about taking the shot, learning from it, and doing it again tomorrow… preferably with a little more accuracy than Favre, and striving for the same intensity as Kobe (good luck). Grateful for the reminder today. #424 #Leadership #Consistency #Learnfromthegreats

One thing I’ve come to appreciate over time is the difference between hitting goals and helping raise the standard for the people around you. Great teams do a good job of recognizing wins, and they should. Those moments reflect the consistency, discipline, and effort it takes to perform at a high level. But I’ve noticed the teams that continue to grow don’t stay there for long. @sabanfaux has a line that’s stuck with me: “The process is really what you have to do day in and day out.” The best teams seem to live that out. They’re quick to shift from “What did we accomplish?” to “What are we going after next?” not because they overlook wins, but because they respect how quickly standards can slip if you stop pushing forward. Within those teams, there are always people who lead quietly from the front. They’re not focused on protecting what’s already been built. They’re thinking about what doesn’t exist yet. Opening doors others might pass by. Creating opportunities instead of waiting for them. I’m still learning this myself, but it feels like sustaining success isn’t about holding on to what you’ve done. It’s about having the discipline and humility to go build it again. #Leadership #Sales #Growth #ChampionshipTeams

The Masters teaches us what it really means to be a championship-level team. But in golf, there is no team. No one to sub in. No one to cover for a bad swing. No one to take the pressure off on Sunday. It’s just you. And yet… the best golfers in the world still operate like a team: - Coaches behind the scenes - Caddies making real-time decisions - People who challenge them, not just support them That’s what great organizations get right. Yes, performance is individual. But sustained excellence is built collectively. Championship teams aren’t about removing pressure— they’re about preparing people to perform when it’s all on them. That’s what Augusta tests every year. And honestly—that’s what business does too. #ChampionshipTeams #Masters #LeadershipLessons

One of the biggest things sports teaches you as a kid has nothing to do with winning. It’s how you carry yourself. When you lose. When the call doesn’t go your way. When someone else gets the spotlight. No matter what, you just show up the right way. That lesson sticks. Because in business, it’s the same thing—things won’t always go your way. Championship teams are the ones that respond appropriately anyway. #ChampionshipTeams #WinOrLose #LeadershipLessons
