Cool thing about learning to draw is that you look at stuff and suddenly can see the stuff you practiced for.

@Tzecceh Appendix: Evolutionary psychology, anthropology, game-theory can indeed inform us about how and why we have the sentiments we do, so in that sense it has an important role. But I don't think it affects meta-ethics directly.

@Tzecceh It comes down to what we mean by "good". Now, if what is good is simply an expression of affect, then there is nothing to ground. If we insist that there are natural facts about goodness, then we have issues. I'm a quasi-realist, so I think it comes down to sentiment. (2/2)

which objective authority are you prescribing too? hinduism? buddhism? judaism? norse? aztec? scientology? they all are contradictory. can you reach a consensus on which of these framework is true anyway morality can be grounded in compassion, evolutionary ethics +
abudi@KirbOfThePirate

Athiests have no objective morality. They can’t say genocide is objectively bad. “It harms others” someone can just ask “why is that bad?” This isn’t me saying I would kill if it wasn’t for religion. Obviously not. But at least I can say “genocide is objectively bad”

@limroul1111 Didn't see it, caught in the crossfire I'm afraid. Besides, I'm not looking to condemn individual edit creators, I find the format appealing myself, I just think its form is compromised and their prevalence tells us something about the social climate
