@PatientsAssoc I use it and it’s helpful to be able to see results and order prescriptions easily. I’ve just helped my husband to download it so he can access prescriptions and it took forever to go through the security! Not easy.

We've now reached the letter 'S' in "Geoff & Margaret's A to Z of Old School Days". There should be no shortage of suggestions, from "Stop, Look, Listen" on the big TV to shape sorting in the sand tray. From singing "Streets of London" in assembly to the magic of story-telling.

@neilmcrowther I understand there are costs for Memory Clinic. Social services, SW, OT, Primary care involvement following diagnosis. My sister has to pay for carers, care connect, with family support to live safely in her own home.

How will earlier diagnosis reduce any of these projected costs?

@neilmcrowther I totally agree. I was signposted to social worker to gain support for my sister and her partner, both living with dementia. The current support will soon be absorbed from the locality team to county wide team so no named person I guess.

Dementia is one of the cruelest and one of the most horrible things a person can get. There’s no way to sugar coat it. People living with dementia and that includes their family carers need a lot of help and support, which is often not forthcoming.

@george_rook I agree and in terms of supporting my sister with a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s we have found new ways to live. I’ve never felt bereaved or loss, just adaptation to the new normal for her and keeping her safe.
