Into whatever is next. Like every other time this happened. First, I do not think that a huge percentage of the workforce will be hungry because there are no jobs. In fact, “jobs” themselves, as we know them are a very recent invention, deriving from massive technological changes. Second, I think that jumping into a wildly dystopian nightmare scenario as an example of…something…is not the best way to illustrate a point. Third, I do not expect, even in some version of your scenario, that the displacement will be net negative. So, whatever else you are talking about, the answer to your question, is as it always has been since we walked out of the caves, whatever is next.
