Dear Okaikwei NORTH Municipal Assembly, @HonLindaAkweley @AccraMetropolis @MichaelKAllotey, please Section 117(1)(b) of Ghana’s Road Traffic Regulations, 2012 (L.I. 2180) expressly prohibits selling or trading on pedestrian walkways.
Footbridges, pavements and walkways are meant for safe pedestrian movement — not trading, parking or obstruction.
Nowhere does the law permit traders to obstruct pedestrian walkways on weekends and stay away from it on weekdays.
So why are we seeing what we are seeing now?
