@linseydmck And I respect that. However, the words “severe” or “high functioning” are out dated and insulting. As an autistic person who is verbal and can communicate, I’m telling you that it’s not helpful to use those words.

@SonicTheHaggis I know labels like ‘severe’ can be outdated and harmful. I share my son’s reality, he’s autistic with profound needs,so his complexity and daily struggles are fully seen. My goal is to ensure he gets the care and respect he deserves!

@SonicTheHaggis My son is autistic, and he is on the most intensive end of the spectrum. He is nonverbal, with complex, lifelong needs. The spectrum is vast,some are mildly affected, but he requires constant care. Please don’t minimize the reality for those like him.

@Alex_B1971 @Liamlfc909 I completely agree. I have both Muslim and Christian friends who strongly reject these ideologies. It’s a painful reminder that every faith has a small radical fringe. We have to keep calling out extremism, no matter where it comes from!!

Unfortunately, all religions have a minority who enforce their own radicalised beliefs of their religion onto others. Remember, Christianity was once used for evil in our past. Dark ages

@linseydmck Open conversations without shouting and being abusive is how you resolve things, looking back and try and see someone else's viewpoint. Sadly nowadays seems to be whoever shouts loudest
