Controversial opinion: Americans are correct when they say Europeans are Europoors. Look at this map. North/West Europeans vacation in Southern Europe basically because it's cheap. But if they had money, if they weren't Europoors, they'd vacation in better, more exotic places.

Africa is so far behind because, put simply, all the things you want - technology, healthcare, medicine, infrastructure, governance - are things that OTHERS created. You don't HAVE these things because African cultures never CREATED them. The only reason you're even as far as you are now is because more advanced people GAVE you stuff - stuff you never created, could never create, will never create, and when they're given to you, you have no idea what to do them. It's not surprising that you're confused and don't understand why you are where you are - I would be too if my grandparents used to crack open the skulls of bald men trying to find gold, only for their grandchildren to be in 2026 with a car, smartphone, and access to penicillin.

It is impressive what social media has done to young people. At the #Cannes pyrotechnic festival, young people would stand up and obstruct the view just to get some social media content.

@cremieuxrecueil Me too. In fact, I can even change the alarm to very early like 5 am and I would still wake up earlier. I am at the point in which I don’t even set the alarm anymore.

When I set an alarm, I usually wake up 15-30 minutes before it goes off. I've never understood how this happens.
