The Bitcoin Power Law is the most overhyped, inaccurate model in crypto that still has a serious following. The model predicted $210,000 by January 2026 and Bitcoin is trading at $70,000. A 67% error. But nobody will call it out because the model’s price bands are so wide they’re impossible to disprove. Support at $48K, resistance at $491K. That’s a 10x range. I can predict the weather will be between -20 and 40 degrees and be “right” every day. 1- Take any asset that went up over 15 years 2- Plot it on a log-log chart 3- It looks like a straight line 4- Call it a “law of nature” That’s the entire model. There is no underlying mechanism, no demand function, no liquidity variable. It says price is a function of time and nothing else. Just time, that’s it. I have studied physics and I can tell you that fitting a curve to past data isn’t a law. Any asset that has appreciated over a long enough timeframe will produce a straight line on a log-log chart. Gold does it. Amazon stock does it. Average house prices do it. The log-log transformation is doing the work here, not some hidden law of the universe. Stock to Flow predicted $288,000 by 2024 and $420,000 by 2025. Its implied price today is $1.3 million. Nobody mentions it anymore. Every cycle produces a model that perfectly explains the past and completely misses the future. Rainbow chart. S2F. Lengthening cycles. All are dead now. The power law is next in line.
