@katiemg4747 @drdanchoi I’m so sorry to hear that for both you and your doctor! I stopped doing OB early so that I wouldn’t have any patients approaching delivery as I closed my doors. That was also sad as I love OB!

@drdanchoi @lisa_egbert Same thing happened to me the week before I was due with my 2nd back in 2019. The insurance companies drove my OB out of business and he had to move states, and I was left to find a new OB 7 days before my delivery date.

Tragic. My good friend @lisa_egbert closed her solo private practice in Dec 2024 leaving thousands of Ohio women looking for a new ob/gyn Healthcare consolidation, Medicare cuts, Affordable Care Act. All of it drove her out of business statnews.com/2025/03/11/med…

My father is a doctor of jurisprudence and is perfectly fine not being called “doctor” as an attorney. It’s the clinical use of the term that’s intentionally line blurring and not ethical. With a vast difference in training and expertise, the clinical use of the term doctor is synonymous with physician and always has been. Patients deserve to know who they are seeing because it makes all the difference in their cost of care and health outcomes. ama-assn.org/practice-manag…
