@SaadiaFaruqi @KSekouM My husband is from "somewhere else" and his pronunciation is the cutest thing ever! He is less amused but sometimes I just want him to whisper "epitome" and "detritus" and "potable" in my ear. 🤣

What’s a word you always read but have no idea how to pronounce? Mine is palanquin. See it all the time in fantasy books, no idea how to pronounce it.

@Tweetstreefrogs Oooh, I'll check that out! She blows through most MG in a day or two. I really want to challenge her with new vocabulary and sophisticated concepts, but romance and violence are hard to get away from.

@lisagerlits That’s a tough one! It’s hard when they the in-between of YA and MG. I like the Summoner series by Taran Matharu. No romance really. Some parent stuff though.

@beingcindy Yes! I could also see this being great for an SCBWI conference or part of The Next Level series. I sometimes get tired of "craft" workshops and would like more professional developement workshops where we really dig into the big issues.
