Praise is one way of lifting up the answer higher than whatever problem may be that is bothering us. It helps us release our problems to God without even mentioning them. It is our faith at work, because when we praise in the midst of trouble, we are reminding ourselves that God is our answer and He is bigger than any problem we could ever have.

Sometimes we can think we are living by faith just because we talk to God about a problem. Talking to the Lord without hope is just complaining. There are times when we need to shut our mouths because all we are doing is rehearsing the problem. There is no peace in that, and that's not praying in faith. Peace comes when you pray in faith, not when you pray in complaint!

Some people may feel the need to crush your faith in God. Let them say what they will, but don’t let them rob you. Don’t let them stomp out your faith in God. Christ’s words and actions let us know this simple truth: God can do anything if we’ll give Him our lives and only believe.

Think about the kinds of things that are forbidden in Heaven. Pain, sickness, fear, or lack of any kind cannot be found in that marvelous place! An abundance of peace, joy, and love flows there continually. God has given power to the Church to enforce His will on the earth. We have the authority to forbid those same things on earth that are forbidden to operate in Heaven. Whatever we permit is what we will have. Whatever we forbid cannot stay.
