Well that was fun! Great ideas RH when exploring the 'ow' diagraph. Miaow was a great suggestion from Aleeza! 🐱 Making 3D shapes from marshmallows/jelly tots and cocktail sticks was awesome. Great activity for fine motor and thinking about shape properies. Mrs Hanson 😀

New long 'oo' sound explored in Phonics 🌙 and four sided shapes represented in Maths. Then LOTS of chocolate and treats shared for my passion project. Getting ready to deliver on Friday! Mrs Hanson 😋

@earlyyearsWLP Our passion project is 'Outside' which is where Teddy loves to be. The weather has scuppered some of our plans but we collected 3 big bags of litter from the canal and woods by our house and enjoyed looking for signs of Spring :)

@earlyyearsWLP We loved the phonics bingo, our coat hanger abacus and cutting out paper hands for counting, but best of all the dinosaurs, fossils and volcano! 🌋

A lovely day of learning! Phonic games to review our ai, ng and ee sounds. Then ladybirds helped us to calculate different ways of making 6, 7 and 8. 🐞 Finishing with an amazing array of big cats to add to our jungle projects. 🦁🐯 Fantastic RH! Mrs Hanson 👍

@earlyyearsWLP Slightly mortified that Teddy's contribution to 'sh' words was Shut Up. (He did concede no one's ever said that to him). Loved the insect topic and his writing is getting better :)

Shout out to RH today for great 'sh' phonics! We followed this up with weighing in Maths. We found lots of items heavier and lighter than an apple.🍎 For topic we learnt alot about insects, their features & used this to create our own models & pictures. 🦋🐝🐞🦗🐜👍 Mrs Hanson😀

It was all about water & ice today! Measuring different amounts in Maths, experimenting with ice in Topic as well as some phonics & a new diagraph! We are busy 🐝! Let me know if you are successful making an ice necklace! I am finding that one tricky. I'm no Elsa! 😆 Mrs Hanson

@earlyyearsWLP Teddy's snake which he filmed himself. We did encourage the use of as many long items as possible so it would be quicker to tidy up afterwards!
