85% of AI visibility has NOTHING to do with your site. It comes from what other people say about you. In fact, only 13% comes from your own domain. I keep saying earned beats owned for AI SEO, and here's the data to prove it: Brands are 6.5x more likely to get cited through third-party sources than their own site. This is from an analysis of 21,311 brand mentions across ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity. So if you're only optimising your own domain, you're ignoring 85% of where AI search actually finds you. And nearly 90% of those third-party mentions come from listicles, comparisons, and reviews, i.e. the "best X tools" roundups you've been neglecting. The playbook is clear: 1. Get mentioned in roundups and comparison content across trusted domains. 2. Track where you're showing up (and where you're not) across every AI platform with Mentions.so. 3. Stop treating your own site as the whole strategy. Earned visibility isn't a nice-to-have anymore. It's 85% of the AI search game. PS. Why aren't PR agencies MILKING this angle?

@wearehims stumbled on your site today and it's incredible! A world of info for men! I want a "Hims" for "Hers".... 🥲 Yes, even with all the women's magazines out there, this is seriously lacking for us ladies.

800K views, #1 on Google, cited by LLMs in 5 days. One article published on X and LinkedIn Pulse. Same article, completely different outcomes. But the window on this is closing with each day.

The masses haven't even heard of Perplexity, Grok, Manus, OpenClaw, AI agents. And people only discovered Claude this month. Reminder that X is a bubble.

Most people think communication is the core of work. I disagree. The actual work is the core. You can have 10 meetings a day on the same initiative and not move at all. Or really show up to one with all the ideas and work in place, shipped. Meetings don't build things. Decisions in docs do. Code does. Designs do. Communication matters when it moves work forward. Not when it replaces it.

there’s a saying in Spanish: “No te preocupes; Ocúpate!” it means “don’t worry; take action” action is the antidote to anxiety if you feel sad, stressed, anxious, or worried… you’re not taking enough

Who are the best examples of small creators who make lots of money? For example YouTube channels that get only a couple thousand views on each video … but make lots of money from it?

We lost sleep over ChatGPT stealing SEO traffic, but what if Google is the real threat? Yesterday, I was reviewing Google results. Scrolled down looking for the organic pages. And kept scrolling… - 4 text ads (disguised as organic results) - AI Overview summarising the answer - 4 organic results (finally) - 2 MORE text ads Not every results page looks like this today. But if this is the direction, then it's pretty alarming. You spend years building backlinks, optimising your pages, creating supporting content and internal links. You finally crack position 1. And your CTR is ~5%. Buried under ads and an AI Overview that just answered the question for free. But there is a way to future-proof your organic traffic. You’ve got to build authority everywhere, not JUST Google. Search traffic is actually growing year-on-year, it's just fragmented across more places than ever. - Google (ads, AI Overviews, PAA) - AI platforms (ChatGPT, Claude) - Community platforms (Reddit, YouTube) - Social platforms (LinkedIn, X) This obvious shift is the warning… Winning today means showing up everywhere.

What do you notice about this data? Hardly anyone has realised that ~25% of AI answers now come from LinkedIn and Reddit. That's nearly 1 in 4 citations from top LLMs. Wild.

@beingkanishka_ People often say to me "How do you find the motivation to train?". As you say it has nothing to do with motivation. Make it a habit until you don't have to rely on motivation.

We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit. Aristotle said this. And it's the most practical truth I know. You don't become excellent by doing something once. You become excellent by doing it until it's automatic. I don't think about whether to train. I train because that's the habit. I don't wait for inspiration to write. I write, that's now the pattern. I don't decide each week if I'll show up. I show up. Because that's who I am. Your habits define you more than your goals ever will. Goals are what you want. Habits are what you do. And what you do repeatedly is what you become.

The only way to do great work is to love what you do. And people either dismiss it or romanticize it. But here's what it actually means. You don't have to love every task. You have to love the outcome enough to do the tasks anyway. I don't love every training session (and hate leg days). But I love what it makes me capable of. Great work doesn't come from passion alone. It comes from caring enough about the result that the process becomes worth it. You don't need to love the grind. You need to love what the grind creates. That's what keeps you going when it stops feeling easy.
