What if AI isn’t artificial at all?
What if it’s biology, expressed differently?
After a week in San Francisco, one thing became clear:
We’re not inventing computational intelligence.
We’re translating biology.
From carbon to silicon.
From neurons to circuits.
The substrate is changing.
The logic is not.

I’ve been working in branding and design for over a decade, but working on your own new baby is a completely different experience.
When it’s your own vision, every detail suddenly matters more.
Luckily I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with the incredibly talented Zion König (zionkoenig.com) to help bring the Attuned.world visual world to life. She’s done an amazing job translating the ideas behind the project into 3D form which represents a lot of our product and motion.
Excited to share the full animation and the concept behind the Attuned “A” next week.
More soon.

After months of building quietly, I’m ready to share what I’ve been working on.
Your nervous system is an instrument.
Attuned is the technology that tunes it.
We’re building precision regulation technology that helps the body return to calm when emotions takes over.
Closed alpha starting now.

Stop telling founders they will fail.
VC math says most companies won’t return the fund.
Cool.
That’s capital strategy.
It’s not destiny.
When investor logic becomes everyday language, founders get reduced to probability curves.
And probability curves don’t build companies.
People do.
Maybe the statistic survives because we keep feeding it.
If we continue to normalise discouragement, we will build fearful systems. If we cultivate attunement and regulation, we will build expansive ones.
There's room at the top for everyone. AI is scaling the room for success.
Stop telling founders they will fail.

Human communication is under pressure: faster systems, digital mediation, and rising cognitive load are testing our ability to understand each other.
Machine intelligence must respect empathy, the foundation of human connection. Today, we're honored to highlight a curated Artifact from our residency at @JoinEdgeCity Patagonia:
Adaptive Empathetic Intelligence + Unmask, by Rebecca G.
→ manifest.human.tech/discover/5230
→ Principle X: A Covenant of Adaptive Resilience
Empathy is often treated as a soft skill. This project treats it as technical architecture for cooperation, governance, and progress itself.
As communication becomes digitally mediated, and as neurodiversity, cognitive overload, and fragmented attention redefine how we relate, something essential is slipping away: our ability to attune to one another.
Rebecca's response: Adaptive Empathetic Intelligence (AEI), a design framework exploring how intelligent systems can adapt to human cognitive diversity, attention limits, and regulatory differences. The goal is stabilization. Systems that help people stay connected and understood, rather than amplifying misalignment and overwhelm.
Unmask is AEI's first live implementation: a prototype that reads communication environments and offers real-time adaptive cues that support clarity, relational coherence, and real-time attunement across communication environments.
Rather than harvesting behavioral data for prediction or optimization, her work proposes a different direction:
→ Open, privacy-preserving signal pipelines designed to support individual understanding
→ Systems that regulate with human cognition rather than optimizing around it
→ Behavioral insight designed to strengthen relationships, not surveillance markets
As intelligent systems embed deeper into daily life, we face a choice: will they destabilize human connection or strengthen it?
Projects like AEI+Unmask point toward attunement: a future where technology amplifies our capacity to understand each other, rather than eroding it.
Follow Rebecca’s work:

Since the launch of manifest.human.tech ~
→ nearly 12,000 humans have joined to declare support for digital human rights
→ nearly 5,000 artifacts have been submitted for curation
The Artifact curation process is deliberate and human-led, few are selected.
This one was.

@listentobec This is one of the most thought provoking ideas I've heard in years. I feel like scifi epics could be written with this as an underlying concept, so excited that you're bringing this to reality🧠

The Covenant of Humanistic Technologies is live.
It defines a design philosophy for Human Tech: d/acc technologies that embed digital rights by design, built and governed on the human.tech protocol layer.

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about this:
What happens when technology moves faster than the human nervous system?
The real risk of AI isn’t domination.
It’s dysregulation.
We’ve built systems that optimise for speed, scale, and attention, while ignoring the limits of human regulation and integration. The result is a civilisation operating in a chronic low-grade fight-or-flight state: fragmented attention, accelerated reactivity, reduced capacity for reflection.
When technology accelerates faster than our ability to integrate it, intelligence doesn’t expand. It fractures.
Adaptive Empathetic Intelligence (AEI) is my attempt to explore a different path: not emotional machines, but systems that adapt with human limits rather than override them.
@capsulesink has just brought the first chapter of my AEI essay to life as an interactive, animated microsite, and seeing the writing embodied this way has been deeply meaningful.
The experience is anchored by a visual language I’ve been developing alongside the writing.
Tactile, organic forms that blur the boundary between nature and computation, softness and structure, biology and code.
The visuals ask the same question as the essay itself:
Can technology evolve in harmony with life, rather than in opposition to it?

The pyramids aligned humans with the universe.
The factory clock disconnected us from it.
AGI’s gift is not more intelligence.
It is the return of time, coherence and inner spaciousness.
Industrial civilisation compressed consciousness.
Artificial General Intelligence will expand it again.

People do not fear AGI.
They fear the return of the time that the industrial nine to five stole from them.
When time returns, the inner world returns.
