A trend we've noticed recently is for local decision makers to say that, unfortunately, they simply don't have the resources to fully recognise disabled people's human rights e.g. their rights to community inclusion and not to have to live and die in decaying institutions.

Were police right to reveal missing mum Nicola Bulley’s ‘vulnerabilities’? Three weeks on, she still hasn’t been found. Yesterday, police revealed personal details about her mental state for the first time. Were they right to share that? Or is it irrelevant to the search?

Nicola Sturgeon has been first minister since 2014 but is now leaving office. How do you feel about Nicola’s resignation?

@REHPatients Some things will never change nor will the rhetoric. We are after all second class citizens and our rights don’t seem to matter. The burning question for me is why? Why the powers that be don’t seem to listen or care or indeed care to understand. It’s such an uphill struggle.

@little30john Poor you, get well soon. I haven't seen it in absolutely ages, but it's got motorbikes, highwaymen, clown and wolf masks, lots of 80s Edinburgh scenes and ones in Glasgow and the Highlands too, plus music from Big Country, so if you're feeling nostalgic...

"The final shot of Restless Natives has the trio on a motorbike with sidecar, heading along Radical Road which will take them around the jutting rock face of Salisbury Crags." Those were the days, when you could still take the radical road and the working class could still win.

@EK_Neuro I want to drop the disorder from bipolar because of the stigma. It’s harsh I think, to be branded in such a way! Either Bipolar on its own or a kinder option could be “condition” or “status”

Contributions requested! The term "severe mental illness" is often used in research. In the research grant I work on it usually covers bipolar disorder, depression and schizophrenia. I'm not a fan of the term myself - what do you think? Are there any better terms?
