Nothing builds friendship faster than a shared enemy. You and the co-resident u barely spoke to for 3 months will become bff in one afternoon the moment a consultant humiliates both of you in the same round. For my final year exam medicine long case ( do or die case) my patient had hepatomegaly, jaundice and lymphadenopathy. I asked all the etiological factors and he didn’t have anything but just one. GUESS WHICH ONE?💀

The lack of medical specialists in Nagaland like gastro, cardiologists, rheumatologists, neurologists is beyond frustrating. Are our doctors choosing not to pursue these specialties, or are there deeper issues? How do we account for this persistent shortage, and what can be done?
