To the one I wronged: I saw you when I should have looked away. I’m sorry. Instead of planting a seed, I may have uprooted the plant. The rest of you may return to your regularly scheduled spectacle. I’ll be here, perhaps a little quieter now.

I won’t twist it into performance, nor indulge the gleeful hyenas circling for scraps of shame. Let them write their rhymes. I’ve read worse. It’s worthy of their names.

Once, in a clumsy cup of prose, I spilled what wasn’t mine to spill. Not out of malice, but misjudgment. But intention doesn't shield from consequence, and the result was what it was: A quiet name dragged into brighter light than it wished.

Nuance is a lofty goal, but it raises a mighty question. If the cloak is a refuge, what difference does it make if the image on the other side was formed in err. If everything was truely just a marvelous coincidence it should not bother if the irish bend or twist it 1/2
Motti Wilhelm@MottiWilhelm

You can deny, obscure riddle us with half-references. If confusion is key, clarity is the enemy. But, in the desire to relish what was cooked in other kitchens You pushed aside the curtain, just enough to confirm. For there was no other way you could know about the brown pigeon

@der_nevelist @addystower IDK...judging by the way your loyal troops of peers rallied to your defense gearing up for bloody word-fare, sharpening pencils like rusty machetes, hacking through the thicket of their equally rusty minds with all the unwieldy grace of a 300lb rosh yeshivah on roller skates...

What can I say, Back to the wall From the wide open steppe To Minnehaha Falls Crusty breadsmith cakes Four days old Sincerest of minchas Buried deep in cold Where did you go Lost hometown of mine The tetherball taken The salsa-chip shaken Trapped in the annals of time

@der_nevelist @addystower To the extent that a pseudo-intellectual like myself wades into the murky ink of what one might mercifully call poetry, I can assure you it has absolutely nothing to do with Lubavitch. Not even incidentally. Any resemblance is purely coincidental and deeply regrettable.

Yes, because Jews are the “only” religious group that believe they have been chosen by God and have superior morals. Except for almost every other religious group in history…
EndWelfare@SecularReaction

@CBHeresy No, his behavior is what happens when you're raised from birth to believe you're "God's Chosen" and are inherently more moral than everyone else no matter what you do and that everyone else it tainted.

If I’d meant to reveal something, surely I’d have done it with fewer birds and better meter. Still, it must be nice, that Irish confidence: to be so unburdened by subtlety. I do admire it. Clarity, after all, is the enemy of nuance.

A bird, perhaps he might be. But not mine. And while some chase feathers hoping for names, others know, alas, I’m just a hobbyist in borrowed boots, peeking through curtains that don’t belong to me. 1/2
Litvacitus@Litvacitus

Bob would call it “dissecting the frog,” others might prefer “a bull in a china shop.” It’s quaint, really, how you think you’ve spotted the ghost in my machine. Wrong chapel. Wrong saint. And certainly, wrong prayer. But go ahead, label the wind if it helps you write an op-ed.
