Update: I took her to Dollarama where she bought a balloon and a card and a tea set for her doll and we made her a mug cake with a candle in it. Here she is reading the card to her doll I’m crying 🥹

5yo is upset at me because I ruined her doll’s birthday party by not coming to it (I didn’t find out until it was over) and her (doll) birthday only happens every 28 years so now we can’t have another party until she (5yo) is 12.

Friends, I was wrong! 😭 They do have a virus! Not chickenpox.

I have been waiting for 3 hours so far at the IWK to waste time and healthcare resources because our daycare needs two notes to prove that my youngest’s skin condition is not chickenpox.

@liveactionfloyd And only a province away, my daycare told me the kid with confirmed chicken pox will be back tomorrow, so long as they don’t have a fever 🙃 ** in their defence, they didn’t seem thrilled about it either

@liveactionfloyd That's beyond foolish. You should ask for the doc to also add a note about wasting time/resources with this policy.

@ThatDogRunner So obnoxious. I tried our GP (booking 8 weeks from now) and Maple (won’t touch it), so here we are. The other option was a walk-in, but at least here I know that the kids who are actually sick/hurt will be seen first.
