So there’s this super rich neighborhood in Seattle. Laurelhurst. They are situated next to a children’s hospital. They decided that the helicopter sound is too loud for them. The helicopters that life flight critically injured children to the hospital. So if a child needs to be taken by helicopter, the pilot has to land a mile away from the hospital. An ambulance will be there to take the child the remaining distance. This is to ensure that the super rich people don’t have to hear helicopters.

I'm seeing reports that it does take place in Raccoon City. And that *could* be enough. Honestly just depends on what he does with it.
Again, if it's just a regular zombie movie with no ties to the game besides a name drop or two, it might as well have been a non RE movie

I can’t believe how much the Resident Evil discourse suddenly infected my tl but my take is I watched the trailer and saw a guy opening random drawers, finding guns without enough ammo, and seeing weird freaks and my thought was “wow that feels a lot like resident evil to me!”
