Cards on the table. I’m a nurse, I’m on £84k a year plus expenses. My hospital has heavily subsidised bars and restaurant and best of all free car parking. I didn’t even have to study or have a degree or anything. Oh hang on, that’s MPs, not nurses

Young single dad at Larder turned to DfC for discretionary support to help with essential items for his children. They asked him to detail how many pairs of pants his children have, because 2 is seen as sufficient, 1 to wash, 1 to wear. Hard to even put comment to this.

But if you’re going to force people to show ID to vote, you have to give everyone free ID. Not on demand or request. Issued automatically.
If you don’t like that because it doesn’t feel British - don’t demand voter ID.
