@paulg yeah, just learned this the hard way. have always been looking down on "feature" products, but recently realized that all products are a collection of "features" and people just need to ship some wanted features several times to build a real "product"

An initial startup idea can't usually be both grand and precise. In practice they're usually either grand and vague or precise and small. Precise and small is better. You know who your initial users are, and you expand outward. With grand and vague you can't even get started.

@elonmusk i have a model Y and i do the same. just like relying on Claude Code on coding, i cannot go back to drive my own car unless it is absolutely necessary.

As little as five years ago, I publicly stated that self driving cars were not in the imminent future. I was dead wrong about that. I am now a happy owner of a cyber truck, and I let it drive me everywhere I go. I trust it’s tactical skill more than I trust my own. Of course I still supervise it, but it sees more than I do, and its reaction time is much better. All I can offer it is my human ability to be far more strategic than it is.

Never mind about the Rolex… had no idea buying one was like buying a Ferrari, where you have to beg, jump though hoops and then buy products you don’t want to get the one you do want! 😂 thought it would be fun to own, but would much prefer to just order something on a website (like a Tesla!) and be done with it. These retail and reseller channels make things far too time consuming Is there a nice watch I can just… order?
