@paulloewen Totally. I didn't know the BC thing but I've definitely noticed everything you've said to be true here at Portage / Valour as well. It is clearly set this way on purpose, so presumably could be set another, more logical way.

@ljtwpg The whole thing is frustrating for both pedestrians and drivers. In BC, pedestrian-controlled intersections trigger instantly if no other pedestrian has triggered it in the last 60 seconds. Doing it that way would solve a lot of problems.

The crosswalk light at Sobeys on Henderson takes way too long to activate. Folks end up jay-walking and then all the drivers have to stop for no one. @jbrowaty @ScottGillingham @cityofwinnipeg

In Maui right now. (You can stick your “Elbow Up” your a$$). A few first hand observations: 1. There is no trouble with U.S. Customs. . . whatsoever. Americans are very welcoming people. 2. Gasoline is less expensive (even with CAD/USD exchange). 3. Food is less expensive (even with CAD/USD exchange. 4. Freedom of speech is not an issue here. 5. Municipal tax is inexpensive. Given that this is a “very expensive” island, you have been sold a bad, bad, bill of goods Canada. Cost of living is outrageous in Canada. Forget the 51st State, wonder if Alberta can join the 50th U.S. State?

The CPC has always done this. They are measuring only how enthusiastic their base is, nothing more. The content of the responses doesn't matter, only the total number. The phrasing is intentionally hyper-partisan to ensure nobody but die-hard party loyalists will even respond.

I've long believed this to be true and seen/heard things that would suggest this. Any time I've tried to dig into it though, the official sources claim we do recycle plastic (CoW especially) but can't point to any proof or details.

@ljtwpg @neofinancial If you're a Rogers customer the Rogers MC is good. Zero fees, 2% cashback on all purchases, and your cashback value increases by 1.5 if you redeem on Rogers products. So I redeem my cashback on my phone/cable bills to optimize the cash back. Has some other perks too.

Any suggestions out there for a no-fee or low-fee credit card with decent cash back or other perks?
