The oldest of the old truths comes from the Prussian military strategist Helmuth von Moltke the Elder: "no plan survives first contact with the enemy." He was writing in 1871, the year Germany was unified as an empire, a moment that was as consequential for the security of Europe as this war might be for the security of the Middle East.
Maybe Trump prefers the boxer Mike Tyson's modern version: "everyone has a plan until they get hit." Even more relevant for Trump are the words of one of his predecessors, Dwight D. Eisenhower, the American general who commanded the D-Day landings in 1944 and went on to serve two terms as a Republican president of the United States in the 1950s.
Eisenhower's version was "plans are worthless, but planning is everything." He meant that the discipline and process of making plans to fight a war make it possible to change course when the unexpected happens.

Context on who "pastor" Paula White, Trump's faith advisor, is, in a few videos.
White has solicited donations for a blessing, ironically, something Protestants accused the Catholic Church of doing.
White said that Christians should be mandated to go to Israel before going to Heaven.
A fanatical display from Paula White talking about "striking."
Finally, White says that saying "no" to Trump is saying "no" to God.

Carrie Prejean Boller reports that President Trump's "Religious Liberty Commission" was described to her by Dan Patrick as existing to "protect" the President's "image." Patrick, with fanatic charismatic "pastor" Paula White, told Boller to stop talking about "replacement theology" and "Zionism." Boller claimed that the commission was effectively serving Zionism and furthering Trump's agenda with respect to Israel. White, the "Christian expert" on Gaza, told Boller that the claim that children were starving in Gaza was fake." Follow: @AFpost

No American should be voting for “Short term pain, for long term gain.” when our country can help American citizens with virtually unlimited resources. Let's flood our schools with resources instead of dropping bombs. This would be true "short term pain, for long term gain." But with much much less "pain".
