@HornetsLead Kon hit his rookie wall at the absolute worst time. The whole team was unprepared for the physicality of the playoffs, and Lamelo, seeing his team like that, defaulted away from team basketball. (Not a hornets fan, but a Kon fan btw.)

JUST IN: Kon Knueppel’s odds to win Rookie of the Year have tanked after shooting only 16% in last night’s play-in game. Cooper Flagg is now expected to win ROTY.
This is insane and unfair… not just because of the reaction to one game, but because the play-in is absolutely NOT supposed to count for or against Kon Knueppel.
However, this year, votes are supposed to already be in, but due to the league reviewing Luka’s award eligibility, they asked the media to delay their votes a couple of days.
Despite the delay, Rookie of the Year is still strictly a regular season award, but traders are predicting that, since the voters are human, they’ll use Kon’s recent performance against him, even though it shouldn’t.
