Congratulations to the Girls Cross Country Team! 💙🩵 This incredible group showed steady improvement all season long, with many runners achieving personal records in the final race of the year — helping the Mustangs finish 26th in the state! A special shoutout to Coach Doug Plunkett, who has been the heart and soul of the DGS Cross Country program for the past 25 years and will be retiring at the end of this school year. A true Hall of Fame coach, Coach Plunkett has impacted thousands of athletes — not only within our halls but across the state. His influence has reached far beyond the record boards (which have forever been changed thanks to Coach Plunkett and the teams he has led). Through his ability to bring out the best in every athlete by instilling confidence and building character, he’s created a lasting legacy — a mentoring tradition where past runners continue to support and celebrate Mustang Nation. 💙🩵 @DGSCC #dgspride #plunkett #youbelonghere
