On this day in 1863, The Battle of Gettysburg began. There are five known manuscript copies of the Gettysburg Address, which President Abraham Lincoln delivered 4.5 months after the battle took place. The Library of Congress has two of those, including this one. 🧵

I'm reminded annually that on April 19 2013 I saw a conf presentation about extending platform & emulation as a service models for working w web archives/disk images, w slides proposing that we need Dr. Who with TARDIS metaphors for tools needed. I still have no idea who this was

I'm interested in this new museum's collections, but also amused that it's housed in a former Sears where I used to shop. I bought Craftsman tools there, and I bought my first serger sewing machine there in 1984. I have no thoughts on hauntings.
