@lesbianhedonic @sillyestpie i just dont think its productive at all to say femininity is degrading... so we should all act masculine to fit someone elses ideals of an empowered woman? if we exist in the binary we will always present in one of them
English

my problem with this is - what exactly is neutral to u? is it just being vaguely masculine? where do we even draw the line with what counts as performing femininity and what doesnt
rose@himeseul
i feel like just bc you arent performing feminity for a man doesnt make it any less degrading

im not a big fan of this thinking, yes, being gyaru is about being yourself, rebellious, sexy and pretty. but everything we do at someway is political, being rebellious especially
tommigyaru@tommysoffline
gyaru became gyaru bc they thought it was cool and rebellious. not to scare off men, tons of men became gyaruo to talk to gals and many gal magazines talked about sex gyaru isn’t rooted in any political movement like punk. when it gets down to it, i like being gal bc i look good
English

@merrygomaru し is pronounced like she, but you need to cut it short before you pronounce the e (its probably easier to understand if u watch a video or something)
