@harlankullman The argument presented in this article is nonsensical and reads like several key paragraphs/logic points were left out.

The Mayor of Newark, Ras Baraka, committed trespass and ignored multiple warnings from Homeland Security Investigations to remove himself from the ICE detention center in Newark, New Jersey this afternoon. He has willingly chosen to disregard the law. That will not stand in this state. He has been taken into custody. NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW.

@DOGE If they are unused why are we wasting time and money auditing and deactivating them? How much money has this audit cost? Just have department heads cancel any unused accounts on their own and get back to work that actually saves money.

Credit Card Update! The program to audit unused/unneeded credit cards has been expanded to 32 agencies. After 10 weeks, more than 500K cards have been de-activated. As a reminder, at the start of the audit, there were ~4.6M active cards/accounts, so still more work to do.

@MarcusHouse Your concern is that you’ll have to verify your identity to use a privately owned and operated service? Social media are not public networks. They’re widely available private services. Not gov operated or owned; they can restrict your use at any time for any reason already.

Anyone here as an Aussie, I hope you see this as what it is. This if it passes I'm certain will have all of us required to hand over our identification to use public platforms like social media, and it will only get worse from there. So saddened our government from almost all sides wants to force this on us under the disguise of protecting the kids. It will never work and there are many ways to actually address this issue you are pretending on trying to solve. We are the parents, leave our kids alone.

TODAY: We're introducing our bill to make 16 years the minimum age for social media.

The rural west has an enormous suicide problem. Major cities - Boston, NYC, DC, even SF and LA, don't have this problem to nearly the same extent.

Federal government agencies are using, on average, just 12% of the space in their DC headquarters. The Department of Agriculture, with space for more than 7,400 people, averaged 456 workers each day (6% occupancy). Why are American taxpayer dollars being spent to maintain empty buildings?

Looking at California’s $20 minimum wage’s impact 6 months later - ⁦@nbcbayarea⁩ - fact check - you cited studies from 2 weeks and 30 days later, and quoted a woman with no economic expertise. INTENTIONALLY MISLEADING - BAD DATA - INVALID CONCLUSIONS apple.news/A1I2FsHu_S1GH_…

Instead of making a post about it, thought we’d just drop the memo. Had to keep some things a surprise but stay tuned for some exciting news next week.

@SJSpotlight It’s also not keeping up with the rapid rise in property values. How are property owners supposed to pay increasing property taxes if they don’t increase rent? The problem is demand.

@engineers_feed It’s an illusion, the extra space is actually always there, the angles on the triangles are slightly off and you can see how the pencil leaves a slight gap between shapes when it rearranged them - if you do this with perfect digital shapes the trick doesn’t work.

Paul Curry, an amateur magician in New York City, was the first to discover that a square can be cut into a few pieces and the pieces rearranged to make a square of the same size that has a hole in it! There are many versions of the Curry paradox, but this one is the simplest.

@SenDaveCortese In San Jose, these services are offered at least weekly and often more frequently. Are you unfamiliar with the Dignity on Wheels program?

Just wrapped our Homeless Health Fair behind San Jose City Hall -- a place where our unhoused community members accessed showers, haircuts, meals, clothes, and much more. I wish we could host this space every day. Today's volunteers represent the best of our community.

@SJSpotlight @VTA If VTA wants to save “several years and 200million in additional costs” they should offer fair market value + 30% on the property and businesses, and $100,000 in relocation fees to every residential tenant. End resistance by BUYING THEM OUT PROPERLY!

@SJSpotlight @morytmilo Yes it does. Character informs decision making. The attack itself and the response inform on both the attacked and the attacker. All of that provides insight into how these candidates will lead.
