@kansasangus Surprised graze or bale CRP didn’t come in this discussion. My experience is a cow would just soon starve as to eat it unless you adding DDG to it. Actually will carry some hay over this year which a rarely us.

@laneallenw @JerodMcDaniel All depends upon your environment. Must years just hoping to get something up and have some ground cover. Used to be several grazed up here my area 25-30 years ago. Seems like don’t see much north of Hwy 96 now.

Wheat pasture is basically the equivalent of a farmer’s grain bin for a rancher. Allows ya to store your inventory while adding value to it and giving ya the flexibility of marketing it into a different time frame.

First time seeing the northern lights that I can remember.

Not long ago, every prairie town had a church, a bank, a school, and several dealerships of all makes. Neighbours helped each other regardless of brand. Today was a blast from the past. I love ag for this reason, farmers are unique but the same.
