This is God Willingly, the Final Time I Celebrate My One Year Clean Anniversary.  In the Last 18 Years I’ve Relapsed So Many Times After Going a Few Days, Weeks, Months and Years That I Legit Lost Count.  Last Year I Was So Close to Making 10 Years Clean, Got Complacent and Put Myself into Situations I Should’ve Never Been in.  Lesson Learned.  Every Day It’s a Battle of My Brain Versus My Heart.  My Brain Wants That Next Quick Hit and Fix While My Heart Just Wants Me to Love and Be Loved.  While I Personally Don't Miss The Reckless Lifestyle, My Brain Still Does.  Every Damn Day it Reminds Me and Begs to Be Temporarily Numbed Again.   My Message to All of You: For Those of You IN Recovery: KEEP IT UP AND DON’T LET UP!  Remain Accountable.  Be Honest With Yourself.  Ask For Help.  Help Others.   For Those of You That Recently Relapsed: Identify What is it You Truly Want Out of Life.  If It’s Something More Than What You’re Living For Right Now Then By All Means GET BACK ON THAT HORSE.   For Those of You That Are Stuck, Confused, Lost and Overwhelmed With No Idea On What to Do Next: Search Online For Groups and Meetings.  Surround Yourself With Like Minded People That Share Your Struggles AND Want to Help Themselves.  Distance Yourself From Those That Don’t.  YOU GOT THIS!!! For Those of You With a Loved One Who Needs Help: Understand YOU’RE NOT the Reason They’re Like This.  Seek Out Help For Yourself.  Love Them and Show You Want to Support Them But Set Clear Boundaries.  It’s Easy to Become an Enabler or Co-Dependent.  Ultimately It’s Up to THEM.  They’re Responsible For Themselves and You Are Responsible For YOU.   For Everyone Else: We’re All One Race and Therefore All In This Together.  When One of Our Brothers or Sisters Suffer, We All Suffer.  Be Kind.  Do What You Can For Others (From a Safe Distance).  Love.   #onedayatatime #love
