This took over a year to resolve, but @lofty_ai was identified by the IRS for a, supposedly random, audit last year. Not the type of thing you want to hear or deal with as a startup founder, who still has a ton of work to grow and improve the product. But happy to announce that as of yesterday, the investigation was closed, no changes/issues/fines, on our end. Have you ever heard of a pre-series A company getting audited by the IRS lol? What a journey and at this point, you can tell how much glass we've had to walk through, when I say this was one of the easier things we've had to deal with since our founding lol!

The smart VCs always ask me why I think @lofty_ai will be the exception to the rule, where every #fractional or #tokenized real estate platform failed to get big enough for a great venture outcome. It comes down to this: Does your product only convert people who couldn't afford to invest in real estate before or previously had no interest in real estate investing, or does it actually convert existing #realestate investors/owners. Everyone talks about how big the real estate market is, but it's only big today because of the latter segment of users. If you can't convert the latter segment, you're NGTMI. I have always had conviction in what we're building, because we have always been getting some variation of the feedback in the image below since our launch. Oh and it's been accelerating the last few months.

Lofty is the only real estate platform that pays you rent every single day, and there's a reason we don't just pay it monthly like everyone else. Obviously tenants pay rent monthly. So why do we split it up and pay it out daily? Two reasons: 1. It kills unfair arbitrage. If we paid monthly, experienced investors would wait for the rent payout, then sell their shares to a newer investor who'd have to wait a whole month for their first payment. Daily rent makes it fair whether you've held for a year or an hour. 2. Investors love earning rent the same day they invest. You buy a share of a property in the morning, and your first rent payment lands that evening. Nobody has experienced that in real estate before. And because you can sell anytime, you can buy part of a real rental property, earn rent from a real tenant, and sell it all within the same day. What normally takes months can now take an hour. This is the future of real estate.

Investors on Lofty just earned a 14.3% return in under 9 months by investing in $50 shares of a single-family home at 11125 Lawnhaven Rd 📈 Here’s how it happened: A tech founder needed cash. He had equity tied up in his property, so he listed it on Lofty, the world’s first peer-to-peer decentralized real estate exchange. He used it like a short-term loan against his own equity before selling the property completely. That decision opened a door for investors: 1️⃣ The property launched September 22, 2025, at $50/share, with a 13% annual yield paid out to investors. 2️⃣ Most investors actually bought in at a discount, around $45/share. 3️⃣ When the property sold, those investors received an estimated 14.3% total return in under 9 months. No bank. No middleman. No money locked up for years. And here's the interesting part: The funds never touch Lofty’s account. When someone buys shares of a property, they get the shares and the seller receives the funds instantly. Peer to peer. The seller got quick cash. The investors got real returns on real estate. Four rental properties on Lofty just sold, delivering an average 31.86% realized return to investors 📈 They didn't want to sell. They didn't want to refinance. Two homeowners listed four single-family homes on Lofty, three in Dunedin, Florida and one in Lubbock, Texas, and sold fractional shares to investors around the world. Investors bought equity in all four. Rent came in. Updates went out by email and in Discord. Then investors voted to sell. All four properties sold. Investors got paid. It was done.
